February 10, 2008

April 10, 2008 is Illinois Library Day!

Illinois Library Day is an annual event for librarians, staff, trustees, library users, and supporters to gather in Springfield to meet with legislators and rally support for libraries. The purpose of the event is to show the legislators who are in charge of library funding that there are many people in Illinois who care about libraries as well as to educate legislators about current legislation that affects libraries and users.

Hear what your legislators have to say about libraries.  These videos were recorded at the North Suburban Library System's Legislative Breakfast on February 18, 2008. The interviews were conducted by Sarah Long of NSLS for their cable program, What’s New in Libraries.
