Friends of the Library Used Book Sale (January 19, 9:00 AM - 4:30 PM)

Stock up on great books at bargain prices during the Friends of the Library’s winter used book sale. Funds raised through the sale will help the Friends support additional Library programs, events, and services.

Are you registered to vote? (Registration Deadline is Tuesday, January 8)

Eligible voters can register to vote at the Registration Desk. 
Applicants must:
  • Be a citizen of the United States on the day of registration. If you became a citizen while living in the United States, you will need to know the date you became a citizen.
  • Be 18 years old by Tuesday, February 5.
  • Live at the registered address at least 30 days before Tuesday, February 5, 2008.
  • Display two pieces of identification. Identification must include one piece with a current address (neither need be a picture ID). Acceptable forms of I.D. include: driver’s license, State of Illinois I.D., Social Security card, utility bill in applicant’s name, employee or student ID, credit card, birth certificate, or mail postmarked to the applicant.

Coffee, Books & More (December 19)

Members of the Library’s Coffee, Books & More group will hold a planning session to determine titles for discussion in 2008, 10 a.m., Wednesday, December 19.  The group welcomes input from patrons who are interested in attending future meetings.  No registration is required.  Call 847/253-5675 for more information.
