Super Saturday (June 16) - Thaddeus Rex Rocks MPPL

The Library kicks off this year’s Summer Reading Program with a featured performance by Thaddeus Rex, the “rock star who reads,” Saturday, June 16, 11 – 11:45 a.m.  Chicago-based Thaddeus Rex performs more than 200 shows each year, helping children use their imaginations and encouraging them to pick up a book.  The Washington Post calls his performances, which blend the energy of rock with the sensibility of folk, “part Monty Python, part Dr. Seuss.”  Register online or call 847/253-5675.
