State Senator Dan Kotowski Tours the Mount Prospect Public Library

Senator Kotowski learns that the Mount Prospect Public Library offers numerous resources for the local business community. State Senator Dan Kotowski stopped by the Mount Prospect Public Library for a tour with Library Trustee John Zulaski and Business Reference Librarian Isabelle Flemming.  The Mount Prospect Public Library is one of only a handful of local area libraries that is a Federal Depository.  Not only does the Library house government information, but if offers a large collection of business reference resources and numerous databases.  Through Isabelle Flemming, the Library’s Business Reference Librarian, the Library provides local businesses with the expertise and support to help them navigate this “vast sea” of information.  Businesses interested in broadening their market, defining the competitive landscape or identifying opportunities can work with Isabelle to develop customized database searches.  Isabelle also helps local entrepreneurs comb through materials which will help them with information about starting a business, developing a business plan and generating sales leads.  Furthermore, she provides information about support agencies like the Small Business Development Center.  Any business or individual interested in learning more about the business reference collection or databases at the Mount Prospect Public Library should contact Isabelle Flemming at (847) 253-5675.
